It is no secret that there is a severe shortage of women in leadership positions in the workplace and marketplace as a result of factors like organizational and systemic biases. Up to 45% of women join the workforce, yet only 29% make it past the middle management roles. Female representation falls from around 50% in entry-level ranks to about 25% at the executive level and approximately 7% at the CEO level (McKinsey LeanIn Report).

At Rise and Lead, our mission is to increase the representation of women at the top leadership positions by providing programs and resources to women and companies who hire them.

We are now accepting applications for the second cohort of the Rise to Leadership program – a 6-week live group personal leadership development program, hosted virtually and designed for mid-career women who want to rise to top leadership. Our somewhat unconventional approach to leadership development is proven, practical and hands-on.

Ebere shares what she’s learned as a leader, how she got to where she is, and lessons learned from interviewing several C-suite executives. Plus, C-Suite Executives share their journeys to top leadership roles and lessons learned. In addition, they support the ongoing development of our future executive leaders as a way to pay it forward to the future generation of leaders.

The “Rise to Leadership” program consists of six 90-minute classes, including mentorship sessions. Each session takes you a step further in the process – from finding your unique value to uncovering your leadership voice, to making a strategic plan and implementing it.

What to expect?

Valuable Insights and New Perspectives
6 weeks of practical learning and insight-sharing led by senior executives and leadership experts. Participants will connect and learn from an experienced faculty of senior executives, while sharing insights and perspectives with a peer group of cross-industry leaders. They will engage in group discussions and one-on-one peer feedback.

Practical Content
Moving up on the leadership ladder requires a lot of courage and confidence. The Rise to Leadership Program provides the necessary guidance and support to help participants navigate through self-doubt and limiting beliefs, and show up as leaders. Our curriculum has been designed with real-life lessons from business leaders who use their experience to provide insights into relatable and day-to-day leadership issues. From establishing a business presence, negotiating for a win-win, solving daily office challenges, or managing family and work issues, participants leave our meetings with actionable tips and new perspectives to practice in their workplace.

Peer-to-peer collaborations
Alumni join the Network and receive further guidance and mentorship from executive faculty members, monthly mentor sessions and mentoring circles for ongoing learning and connections.
