Q & A with Our Advisory Board Member Stefan Tonnon

Tell us about yourself and your role in your organisation

I have over 25 years of experience in Executive Human Resources Leadership roles in the IT sector across EMEA, US and APAC and have lived and worked in the US, Germany, Netherlands and the UK, which has enabled me to understand multicultural, diverse and inclusive environments, which is key to drive financial success in global companies and start-ups. I work at Insight as the Vice-President of HR EMEA and currently live in Sweden with my wife.

What does diversity and inclusion mean to you?

I have been involved in Diversity and Inclusivity for more than a decade and am a big advocate of celebrating each other’s differences and strongly believe that kindness will change the world.

How do you promote and support gender diversity and inclusion in your place of work?

I am the executive sponsor at Insight EMEA for inclusivity, Diversity and belonging and participate on a regular basis in panels and summits to discuss, share experiences and learn about Diversity and Inclusion. I also am an InsightAlly and in this role he actively supports humans to have the same opportunities

Tell us why you have chosen to support the Rise & Lead Women?

I was introduced to Rise and Lead Women about 3 years ago where I met Ebere. Ebere has been a real inspiration to me and together with the organisation Rise and Lead women I have seen many opportunities to participate and contribute and have been supporting the organisation ever since. The mission of Rise and Lead Women to help accelerate women’s journey in leadership positions and the initiatives on Diversity and Inclusion to make this planet a better place for humans is what I strongly believe in.

As an Advisory Board member of Rise & Lead Women, how do you envision promoting our mission and making an impact on the community?

I will use my network and years of experience to support, challenge and engage with the community and with the world around us to help support the Rise and Lead Women initiatives and mission.
