Rise and Lead Women launches a series of Virtual Roundtable Discussion on the impact and way forward of COVID-19 on women in different sectors of society
Rise and Lead Women – Africa, a social impact organisation focused on leadership and financial inclusion of women, will conduct a two-day virtual roundtable discussion on COVID-19: Myths, Impact and the Way Forward in Africa from Friday, April 17 to Saturday, April 18 Online.
The roundtable will bring together experts from different sectors of the economy including; Food security, Information technology, corporate organisations and businesses to engage in meaningful conversation and explore ways to survive and thrive during and after the Pandemic.
The Rise and Lead Virtual Round Table Discussion on COVID-19 is a series of talks aimed at investigating the pandemic’s unique impact on Africa’s public health, economy and women and how individuals, including business leaders, professionals, and micro and small business owners can cope and also help in the nation’s battle against COVID-19.
The Virtual Roundtable Discussion will be hosted by Rise and Lead’s founder, Ebere Akadiri, and the Rise and Lead Country Ambassador, Adebola Salako-Kupouyi. They will be joined by a team of experts including Ndidi Nwuneli (Co-founder and Managing Partner, Sahel Consulting), Temitope Omotolani ( Co-founder and Managing Director, Crowdyvest), Anita De Werd (Head of Marketing and Business Development Africa, Maersk), Jane Egerton-Idehen (Country Manager, Avanti Communications Ltd), John Anyanwu (Partner, KPMG), Barbara Piper (International MentorCoach and Compassion entrepreneur), Funke Oladoke (Partner, Deloitte), Ada Irikefe (Associate Director, PWC), Ada Udechukwu (Head of Women Banking Access bank), and Adwoa Kufuor-Owusu (Regional Adviser on Gender and Women’s Rights, UN).
