Aon Brings Financial Expertise to the Rise and Lead Women’s Summit

Through their passion for diversity and inclusion of women, Aon has joined the Rise and Lead Women list of active sponsors, bringing a wealth of financial and leadership expertise with them. Aon will be the Impact Maker Sponsor of the 2019 annual Rise and Lead Summit. The Summit takes place in The Hague on 19th and 20th September 2019.

The Rise and Lead Summit is the yearly highlight of Rise and Lead Women: a global knowledge sharing, education and social impact platform that connects leaders, company executives, business owners, emerging leaders and change-makers to engage in meaningful conversations and uncover best practices towards the leadership and financial inclusion of women in the workplace and marketplace.

The key theme of this year’s summit is “Women & Business Sustainability and Wealth Creation”. The conversation will focus on how advancing gender balance in the workplace and marketplace will lead to wealth creation for families, companies and society.

According to Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aon Holdings B.V. and Global Chief Marketing Officer of Aon Inpoint, “We are joining the Rise and Lead women to drive gender balance in leadership in all aspects t of women in the workplace and marketplace. We believe that the provision of a diverse and inclusive working environment is fundamental to the Dutch economy as laid out in a report of McKinsey in 2018. Such an environment is the key engine to the future (business) success of the Netherlands as a whole and the various leading industries such as science, technology and financial services in particular.

Aon believes that the need for diversity in our society is instrumental in ensuring that the best talent is not only obtained but also retained. Increasing awareness at all levels of this need is hence crucial as one cannot change what one is not aware of. Once people are aware of the need, they can do nothing but change. Supporting the increase of awareness is what Aon and myself firmly believe in and what will help women to rise and lead”.
